No one inspires the SENIOR team as much as sincere and grateful letters from seniors or their loved ones. We are happy to share an open letter from Genutė's sister Stanislava:
"Genutė is a former doctor. For many years she worked actively and creatively as a doctor, raising children and taking care of the home. Going to a well-earned vacation, loning for a year, becomes lonely. Children and their families live their own lives, former co-workers, close friends one after another travel to Eternity… Physical strength weakens, health deteriorates. Visited visually impaired. It becomes difficult to orientate in the environment, to manage in the household. There is a great lack of communication and social experience. Feels insecure. Attacked by angry depression…
Almost half a year ago, Genutė's house was visited by a ray of light and kindness. This spindulėlis - Irmutė, social worker of Kaunas team SENJORO.
Geroji Irmutė is a specialist who leads her vocation to this noble profession. She intuitively feels our Genuta - her client, sees her needs, interests, opportunities. Provides all kinds of help with love. It tries to socialize it, does not allow it to be inactive. Encourages exercise, exercise, helps to solve household and health issues. Irmutė carefully and tastefully arranges the apartment and provides food. Helps to take orderly medicines prescribed by doctors, accompanies a doctor, pharmacist, carefully protects his ward on public transport, on the street, etc.
They also find enjoyable activities with each other: conversations over a cup of coffee, where they discuss issues on various topics: medical, cultural, political, religious, and so on. Or: decides to just take a walk, shop in the shops (if health allows), visit the beauty salon… Irmutė helps Genute to go to St. Mass to the church of Šančiai parish, together with the graves of the dead relatives in Petrašiūnai cemetery.
We see changes in the life of our sister Genutė. Now she feels safer, more confident. We notice improvements in her physical-mental-mental health - depressive ailments are decreasing.
We with Genute We would like to express our sincere thanks to the SENJORO team for the fact that your employees provide the much-needed comprehensive assistance to the seniors according to the planned programs.
Sincere thanks to my dear Irma Griniene, SENJORO 's social worker assistants, for the help and care of our dear sister Genute.
We wish you the best and most beautiful success in your infinitely noble mission - to help a disabled, lonely person accompanied by old age ailments. Yours sincerely, Stanislava ".
