Improvement of the service ordering system of the National Institute of Social Integration

Project name: "Improving the service ordering system of the National Institute of Social Integration"

EU measure: NO. 13.1.1-LVPA-K-860 "E-COMMERCE MODEL FOR COVID-19"

The goal of the project: to increase the income received from the services sold, by updating the Senjoro service ordering system and creating a Social taxi mobile application.

Duration: 12 months (2022.02.09 - 2023.02.09)

Project budget: EUR 45,592.80

Project results: Creation of the electronic "Senjoro" service ordering system and the "Social taxi" mobile application. These tools will contribute to more convenient online ordering of services: the "Social taxi" mobile application will allow customers to order services, pay for them and monitor the execution of the order (travel information and the location of the car in real time) using a smart device. After updating the "Senjoro" service ordering system, service ordering will also be done in the digital space. After entering the necessary data, potential customers will be able to immediately order the service according to their desired need, and after receiving it, pay for the service in their account in the "Senjoro" system.

The project is financed by the European Regional Development Fund. Funded as part of the European Union's response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The public institution "National Institute of Social Integration" implements the project "Person-to-Person", which is co-financed from the support of the European Social Fund, provided in accordance with priority 8 of the 2014-2020 European Union funds investment action program "Increasing social inclusion and fighting poverty" implementing measure no. 08.3.2-ESFA-K-415 "54+".

The aim of the project is to create favorable conditions for older working-age persons to engage in voluntary activities in the social field and to remain active in the labor market for longer.

The target group of the project is people of older working age (from 55 years old) living in the districts of Utena, Zarasai, Molėtai, Ignalina and Anykščiai municipalities.

During the implementation of the project, 145 participants of the target group are engaged.

In 2020 on July 28, 29, the cultural awareness and expression training events of the project "Human-to-Human" took place in Antalieptė, a beautiful town in Zarasai district, during which the participants had the opportunity to get to know the historical heritage of the towns of Antalieptė and Salakas, test themselves and get to know the culinary heritage of Spain, discover new hobbies and acquaintances. The event lasted the whole day and the next morning another group started the same program with enthusiasm.

The participants started the program with a discussion about Lithuanian traditions and customs - they had the opportunity to learn about herbs and make tea from them, taste balanced nutrition snacks prepared by the chef. After some snacks, the participants traveled around Antalieptė, where they visited not only the most interesting sights, such as the Barefoot Carmelite Monastery, its cellars, the hydroelectric power plant and the Old Antalieptė Water Mill, but also took a walk along the amazingly beautiful Šavaša nature exploring trail. While walking through the forests of Antalieptė, the participants learned a lot of new information from the guide about forest plants, the old traditions of Lithuanian rites near the Lūžų stone with a bowl. Hungry after the active walk, the participants had the opportunity to cook traditional Spanish dishes together with the chef, and then taste them. The participants not only heard culinary tips from the chef, but also shared their experiences and discussed the best ways to prepare food.

In the second part of the day, a tour in the town of Salakas awaited the participants. This town is famous not only for its exceptional natural beauty, but also for its rich history and culture. Project participants had the opportunity to visit the Salakas St. Virgin Mary Sorrowful Church, the old Jewish and Tatar cemeteries, barrows, and in the visitor center of the Gražutė Regional Park, learn more about the park itself and the exhibition of marine exhibits collected by Vida Žilinskienė located in the center. The participants were lucky, because 94-year-old Vida herself told them about the 4,500 exhibits collected throughout her life!

During the entire event, there was no shortage of smiles, interesting reasoning, self-reflections and engaging discussions, so the time spent together was really creative, productive and meaningful. We are happy with the participants' activity and involvement in the event program and we hope that the time spent together will evoke positive and pleasant memories for them for a long time.

Last week, we had another event of the National Institute of Social Integration's "Human-to-Human" project in Molėtai and Utena. During the two days of "Cultural awareness and expression" activities, the participants even learned two new crafts - candle casting and macrame weaving, as well as visited two museums - Lake fishing, Antanas Truskauskas hunting exhibition and Utena local history museum, learned how to properly relax in yoga classes, where we also gained more knowledge about Eastern culture, developed our taste in coffee education and even got acquainted with the latest technologies in the virtual educational space "Moletai from different angle".

The event was full of smiles, curious questions from participants, interesting facts, newly formed friendships and just warmth!

The aim of the "Human-to-Human" project is to involve older people of pre-retirement age in voluntary activities or to help them successfully return to the labor market. Events are organized during which participants get the necessary knowledge in certain areas and develop their personal skills.

in 2019 July 22-23 In Utena, a cultural awareness and expression event organized by the project "Human-to-Human" took place, during which the participants had the opportunity to get to know the culture of Lithuania and foreign countries, spend time creatively, try themselves in new activities and discover new hobbies and acquaintances.

Both days, the participants started with morning exercise, during which they not only actively exercised, but also did relaxation exercises based on meditation and yoga practices. This exercise awakened not only the participants' bodies, but also their consciousness: before the exercise itself, the participants performed self-discovery tasks, willingly sharing observations and unexpected discoveries about their qualities and character. Exercise and original self-discovery exercises inspired strength and positive attitude for the rest of the program. And the program was really full of various activities, classes and discussions!

On the first day, the participants got acquainted with the concept of culture, discussed what we can call culture and what not, and what are the distinguishing features of Lithuanian culture. This discussion was followed by two methodical games that encouraged us to think about our role in shaping the culture of our country, what important cultural, social or historical events have marked our lives, why they are important to us.

In the afternoon, a film screening was held in the cozy hall of the A. and M. Miškiniai public library, which was crowned by a sensitive and interesting discussion about why we sometimes feel constrained by our culture, how to be more free, what we could learn from other cultures.

At the end of the day, the participants had the opportunity to briefly forget their everyday, well-known "I" and try themselves as actors during a theater session. The director of the Utena Chamber Theater, who led this theater session, introduced the participants to the behind-the-scenes of theater life, shared the accumulated knowledge about the art of acting, allowed the participants to feel what it means to be actors, encouraging the participants to get out of their comfort zone and gain new experiences. The very fact that this activity took place on the stage of the Utena Chamber Theater helped to get better at the activity and the actor's role.

Participant Aldona, wanting to describe the special atmosphere created during the session, vividly said that during it she heard "how the muse of creativity played", and the two hours dedicated to the session "passed like five minutes".

On the second day, the participants had an excursion to the Utena Museum of Local History, where they got to know the culture and history of the Utena region. During this excursion, the participants had a unique opportunity to be among the first to see the new exposition of the history of the city of Utena with a computer terminal, which allowed interactive acquaintance with the history of the city, its interesting facts and events. After the tour , the participants agreed that it was possible to spend a whole day in the museum - there are still so many exhibits that have not been thoroughly examined and stories that have not been heard.

Participant Laima, who visited this museum not for the first time, was happily surprised that she could hear and learn something new again. In the afternoon, the participants gathered again in the hall of the A. and M. Miškiniai public library, where the program continued: there were discussions about different cultures of foreign countries, cultural stereotypes.

The second day was crowned by a brainstorming session, during which the participants had the opportunity to put the accumulated cultural knowledge into practice.

During the entire event, there was no shortage of smiles, interesting reasoning, self-reflections and engaging discussions, so the time spent together was really creative, productive and meaningful.

We are happy with the participants' activity and involvement in the event program and hope that these two days will evoke positive and pleasant memories for them for a long time.
