Jonavos St. 20, Kaunas

The home of positive aging in the very heart of Kaunas.

Why did we create these spaces and what is our goal?

The decision to establish open "Senjoro" spaces grew out of our seven years of daily practice in working with seniors and providing social services at home. We noticed that society still holds a stereotype that old age is sad, grey, and isolated. However, in real life, we see energetic, curious people who still want to experience life, discover, and create.

Our goal is to break these outdated stereotypes and prove that old age is a time of new opportunities and meaningful years. These spaces are a vibrant, modern, and innovative response to the needs of today's seniors and their families, built on community, partnership, human connection, and mutual trust.

Who are these spaces for?

Open "Senjoro" spaces function as multifunctional centers designed for several key audiences:

Seniors: Who are looking for meaningful ways to spend their time, want to learn, share experiences, and remain active members of society.

Relatives of seniors: Who need professional guidance, expert consultations within the social services system, or simply emotional support.

Our team and partners: A motivating, modern, and comfortable working and meeting space for managers, coordinators, and specialists, fostering a fresh outlook on the field of social services.

What do we do in these spaces?

Expert support and consultations: Expert assistance and consultations: We help seniors and their loved ones navigate the social services system more easily and provide professional advice.

Lifelong learning (Peer-to-peer): We empower seniors to become creators themselves. They initiate and lead small interest groups, teaching one another. Activity coordinators merely assist this process, inspiring seniors to try not only traditional crafts but also technological innovations (such as artificial intelligence).

Socialization and community: We expand seniors' social circles by organizing traditional breakfasts, BINGO afternoons, art therapy sessions, or simply inviting them for a cozy chat over a cup of tea.

Mental health and support for relatives: We organize lectures, mutual support events, and meetings with psychologists for those who care for their aging family members on a daily basis.
